This Little Land of Mines and The Secret War

This Little Land of Mines tells the stories of how Lao people have been, and still are, impacted following the US bombing of Laos from 1964 to 1973 during the US Secret War.  During this time, the U.S. dropped over two million tons of ordnance on Laos during 580,000 bombing missions—equal to a planeload of bombs every 8 minutes, 24-hours a day, for 9 year, making Laos the most heavily bombed country per capita in history.

You can purchase the full video (its worth it!) here and if you are keen to learn more about this during your holiday in Laos, places like COPE in Vientiane and the Mag Visitor Centres are great places to start, and on the Thakek Loop, you can even take a ride in one of the bomb-boats shown in the full documentary.
